A youth from Bhojpur is being held hostage in Iran and a ransom of Rs 2 crore is being demanded through WhatsApp. The youth taken hostage is Gaurav Gupta, son of Mungi Lal Sah, resident of Sukhrauli village of Piro. By luring the young man, he was taken from Patna to Mumbai, from there to Dubai, Pakistan and then to Iran. From there, money is being continuously demanded from his family members through voice recording of WhatsApp. In this case, an FIR has been lodged by the helpless family members against an unknown person in Hasanbazar police station of Piro. Besides, a demand has also been made to Arrah MP cum Union Minister RK Singh to bring back the kidnapped youth. The numbers from which the father was receiving calls from two different foreign numbers have also been given to the police. In this regard, Piro DSP Rahul Singh says that the police is taking action by registering an FIR. He was taken to Iran for a job, now he cannot be contacted. This is an international matter.

Gaurav was kept mortgaged in exchange for drugs

Gaurav’s brother Rajan says that Gaurav left home for Iran at Patna Junction on 15 February. From Patna Junction he reached Mumbai by Lokmanya Tilak Express train. He stayed in a Mumbai hotel for about a week at the expense of the job agent company (international kidnapper gang). After that, on 22 February, he flew to Sharjah airport by Air Arabia Airlines. In Sharjah, he was received by international kidnapper gang handlers Mr. Sahu and Sonu. That person had promised to get Gaurav a job in an oil factory in Iran. He took him to Iran and left him there and fled. Gaurav was not able to be contacted since 8 May, then he started sending voice messages. Voice messages are also being sent by the kidnappers. Brother Rajan Kumar says that the last time he talked, he told that he was not made to do the work for which he was taken to Iran. There is talk of keeping Gaurav hostage in exchange for drugs. Ahmedabad Police has informed the family about Gaurav’s kidnapping.

Gaurav was kept mortgaged to buy drugs

Gaurav’s brother Rajan told that on April 29, the smugglers were going to reach India with drugs through Porbandar port. Indian Coast Guard, NCB and ATS were already informed about this. In the action, security forces arrested five peddlers from whom drugs worth crores were recovered. Gaurav’s number was found in the mobile phone of one of the arrested international smugglers, then when the police interrogated him, he told the whole story that we had picked up the drugs by keeping Gaurav as a mortgage.
